Welcome to my new personal blog

General

I decided I was going to start posting to a blog again in 2026. A long time ago, I ran a successful blog and enjoyed posting stuff online.

A blog gives you a nice outlet to post your thoughts and ideas. You can also share links to news and upcoming products and events. A lot of time I used my personal blog for ranting about things (i.e. "What Really Grinds my Gears") ?Grinds My Gears

My old blog was about new and interesting things online. New products, innovative ideas, interesting research, and funny memes. But, that was a decade ago.

This new blog will just be about my personal thoughts and ideas. I'm not going to be a "trend hunter" this time around. I'm not going to spend hours researching and writing about bleeding-edge tech or the coolest new gadgets. Those days are behind me.

The new blog will be about stuff I'm interested in now. I'll post about the projects and ideas that I'm working on. I might post some product recommendations for second-hand tech or some products that are Made in the USA. I no longer buy the latest tech toys the day they come out. Instead, I like to recycle tech and save thousands of dollars in the process.

Through the 1990s and early 2000s, technology was constantly changing any improving quickly by leaps and bounds. But, we've reached a point with computers where even the lower end of the tech spectrum is more than adequate for the needs of the average user. The difference between a 3Ghz and 4Ghz chip is barely noticeable while browsing social media or watching YouTube videos. Most people just don't need the latest cutting edge technology.

So, if you're interested, bookmark my blog or subscribe to the RSS feed to read my latest posts. I'll try to keep interesting, or at least topical. And, I promise I won't bore you with cheesy memes or posts about politics. I've disabled blog comments to prevent spammers from posting their crap here.

So, if you're interested in the same type things I'm posting about or if you have any questions or comments drop me a line on my contact page.

Until next time.
